Zakiya Cowan holds a bachelor's degree in English and Spanish from Lewis University where she previously served as Managing Editor for the university's award-winning literary journal, "Jet Fuel Review." In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and writing. She is a Best Small Fictions nominee, and her work is published and/or forthcoming in Windows Fine Arts Magazine, Split Lip Magazine, Hobart, and Spoon River Poetry Review.
