Around East Village
El Cerrito Heights, Redwood Park, Webster, and Rolando Park residential areas predominantly have single-family units. However, there are multifamily complexes at the Oak Park with more coming up along El Cajon Boulevard. El Cerrito residential areas are set on the side of the hill giving good views of the central San Diego as well as a cool breeze. There are several eateries all along El Cajon, down University Avenue and shopping centers dotted across the community.
Head to College Grove for some generous servings of sushi in one of the several Asian eateries along the road. There are also other eateries serving Thai, Chinese and Indian cuisine along the Euclid Park and home Avenue. You can also have some American steak, California signature burnt ribs, French fries, pizza along with fresh fruit juice and European wine. Restaurants serving Mexican delicacies are dotted all along El Cajon, University Avenue, and all the way to Federal Boulevard.
Everyone seems to be in a hurry at the East Village side of San Diego. Young professionals rushing to their jobs, kids headed to the elementary schools and a few people keeping fit are common scenes in the area. One the other side, there are lots of stand-up comedies and outdoor shows in the area. It is good to stop for a minutes and have some hearty laughter before proceeding to your other activities.
Take your loved ones to an outdoor dinner at one of several outdoor patios in the area. Play pool as you listen to cool country music in one of the local bars down El Cerrito Drive. For a night of dancing, head to one of the dance clubs along University Avenue for a fun night out. Several clubs host karaoke nights, live performances, and big screens to watch sports. You can also catch up with the latest blockbusters at one of the several movie theaters scattered across the neighborhood.
Grab your bike and a friend for some exploring along the curved avenues all the way up El Cerritto. You can also take time to explore the reading resources at the library services branch at the Oak Park residential area. Take an early lunch on an outdoor patio along Redwood Street or Oak Park Drive.
